Our Story

Triforza Field Spaniels is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our goal is to preserve the breed and produce healthy and temperamentally sound dogs that excel as beloved pets, in the conformation and performance ring, and in the field.  Our dogs live in our homes and sleep in our beds. We want each and every puppy in a home that will love them, train them, and care for them as beloved family pets. Our program is constantly growing and expanding. Currently we compete in conformation and are training for nose work, rally, tracking, and some hunt work.

Trifroza Field Spaniels was born from my passion for dogs and my husband's enduring patience with my crazy ideas and our mutual love of Legend of Zelda. I started in dogs in 2011 with my first working English Cocker Spaniel. After my second cocker, I started looking for a breed I could show and hunt. As a kid, I grew up watching every dog show on television I could find and I wanted to show my dogs as well as hunt them. I wasn't a fan of all the grooming involved with English Cockers and Fields Spaniels seemed like a logical next choice. They were stunning, didn't have a show/working split, they were around the same size, and they required less grooming. I figured I would add a Field Spaniel to my band of cockers and be done with it.

In 2019, Zelda came home and I quickly learned that Field Spaniels were the dog for me. What was originally suppose to be a cocker pack with a Field spaniel quickly transformed into a future Field spaniel pack with a cocker. Zelda was a dream. I thought we were done for while but in 2020 a Facebook post in a Field Spaniel group showed a potential show puppy needed a home. She was liver roan and I knew she had to come home with me. Cue Mipha. She sealed the deal that Field Spaniels were the breed for me. I can't imagine my life without them.
